Samantha on her new bridal collection. What is love? What is marriage? Where is the connection between the antiquated stories of princess and the utility of modern day marriage? These questions rooted the start of the collections design process, from classic ideas of what it means to be a wife in a buttoned up shirt dress (Paley Demi Gown) to the conceptual feeling of being whisked away (all those bias cut organza layers on the Coco Gown) I wanted to represent the full spectrum of love, marriage and identity. Color played a large role. The injection of nudes and blush tones represented a softness of young love, as they are not quite their own color yet, but on the journey of transitioning from white into something new. Whimsical, ethereal, classic, elegant. the modern woman needs options to reflect her unique perspective and individual love story.
