There’s nothing sexier than a smokey eye, however it must be done correctly… the ‘raccoon’ look is not cute. Our friends at Morgan Marie Beauty agreed to show us how makeup artists go about creating the perfect smokey eye, and just when we thought our model Lisa couldn’t look any more gorgeous Morgan & Marie outdid themselves, yet again! (Remember when they taught us about facial contouring?)
Here’s what you’ll need to create this great smokey eye look:
-Brushes (concealer, jumbo shadow, blender, angled liner) or a full brush set from Morgan Marie Beauty
-Your favorite mascara (we love this one!)

1.) Start by applying an eyeshadow base over the entire lid with your Morgan Marie concealer brush.
2.) With your jumbo shadow brush, apply the shimmering white shadow onto the brow bone.

3.) Apply the darkest shadow from the quad with your jumbo shadow brush. Start the color at the base of your lash line and continue to blend it into your crease.

4.) Next, take the darker silver shadow and blend it in the crease (with your blender brush) to diffuse the darker color. Essentially, you want to “marry” the two colors together.
5.) When you are finished blending, add the white shimmer from step #1, to the inner corner of your eyes.

6.) Use your angled liner brush to apply your Bobbi Brown gel liner across the top lash line and just along the lower lash line (from inner corner to outer corner).

7.) Finish the look with 2 coats of your favorite mascara!

And, voila! Now give it a try, and let us know what you think. If you have any questions ask away in the comment section, and we’ll get you an answer directly from the experts, Morgan & Marie.
