A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of working with CS Magazine on a feature for their March Spring Fashion Issue, which is on newsstands now. The premise for the feature was that they took me around to six local boutiques, selected by them, many of which I’d never been to before, and I picked out one “must have” item for Spring from each shop. Here’s the round up…
First up was a trip to Lakeview’s M2, a one stop shop for affordable accessories. The above necklace that I chose was less than $30 but looked like a million bucks!
At River North’s LBD I was thrilled to discover some of my favorite go-to brands. After browsing racks of Clover Canyon, Trina Turk, Halston Heritage and more, I landed on this BCBG sequin crop top. I fell in love with both the color and the cut!
One of the stores that CS introduced me to for the first time was Uncle Dan’s. This Lakeview outfitter is stocked with awesome outdoor gear. One of my favorite things was this Patagonia vest that would be perfect to throw on to walk my dogs in as Chicago (hopefully) warms up soon!
It was love at first site when I saw this incredible druzy stone necklace at Stella Blue Design in Lakeview. This was one of the boutique’s many beautiful pieces designed by the owner, Angela Gianfrancesco. I also fell in love with their awesome selection of vintage pieces, and the variety of jewelry by other designers, including one of my favorites, Bella Colletta.
One of the stores on CS’s list that I was already very familiar with was Sofia. While I’d wear almost anything and everything from this Gold Coast gem, this particular maxi dress was calling my name as soon as I saw it!
At Souchi in Lincoln Park I was excited to see that along with all the amazingly cozy sweaters, designed and curated by owner suzi johnson, that have been perfect for this brutal winter, the boutique has plenty of gorgeous, light-weight options for spring. If you’re in the market for luxury knitwear- look no further!
