Nasty Gal Shag Queen Jacket [A Great Deal!] | Mossimo Women’s Drapy Tee | James Jeans Jules Maternity Flared Jean [My Favorite Maternity Jeans- Way On Sale!] | ASOS Felt Hat | Cambridge Satchel 13″ Bag | 28 Weeks Pregnant
Nothing makes me crazier these days than walking through the maternity section of a store and seeing over priced, semi-ugly, empire-waist blouses that I’m supposed to spend money on, wear for the next 3 months, and then send to storage? What a waste! Not to mention, it’s getting harder to feel both comfortable in my own skin and confident as the scale continues to rise, and I can’t imagine wearing weird mom jeans and maternal blouses would help the situation. I don’t need my style to change, I just need the clothes to be a bit bigger/stretchier.
My current solution? Stock up on some basics. A few pairs of James Maternity Jeans from GILT, and basic/inexpensive tops and tanks from places like Target and Gap (bonus points if they’re breastfeeding friendly for future use). Then, since I’m not blowing the budget on maternity pieces that will only fit for awhile I can focus on finding fun pieces that will work now and later, and stay true to what I actually like wear. Hello, shag jacket!
