Happy Friday everybody! Things are getting personal on the blog today. As I slowly start to get photos back from different parts of our wedding weekend I’ve been thinking about what I want to share on TCLB and when. Today was an easy decision… I can’t to show you all the photos from our rehearsal dinner!
Not only was our rehearsal dinner at the Public Hotel a ton of fun (less pressure than the wedding but still so many of our favorite people!) but I especially enjoyed it because Peter planned the entire thing… and nailed it! Not that I didn’t trust him, but all his hard work and attention to detail seriously blew me away. I think we now know who’s in charge of planning any future parties we may throw! We started off with our families and wedding party for a cocktail hour on the enclosed rooftop at the Public Hotel (our favorite skyline view in the city!), and then moved downstairs for a sit down dinner complete with flower arrangements from my favorite local flower shop, Forget Me Knodt. Peter perfectly planned a menu with the guests choice of steak, chicken, or pasta, and everybody had a creative take on warm doughnuts for dessert. One of the only touches he let me help with was printing polaroids with all our guests photos as place cards. After dinner, we moved down to the screening room in the Library Bar where we were joined by all our out of town guests for more laughter and libations. Peter even planned to have Father of The Bride, a favorite in my family, playing on the big screen during this part of the party. While our whole wedding weekend was just a blast from beginning to end, the rehearsal dinner Peter threw will definitely go down as one of the highlights!
