We’ve recently fallen in love… with a wallpaper.  Made famous when it was originally installed in The Beverly Hills Hotel in 1942, the Martinique printed paper is perhaps the most recognizable wallpaper in the world.  It has since graced the walls in homes of tastemakers such as Nate Berkus, Nicky Hilton… and yes, Blanch’s bedroom in Golden Girls.  A very similar pattern called Brazilliance (best name ever, right?) was created by design icon Dorothy Draper and has also gained much notoriety in the world of wall coverings, famously hanging in the uber luxurious Greenbrier resort where the 2012 Bergdorf Goodman catalog cover was shot in front of it.

Now for the good news, girls and gays… You don’t have to make the commitment to, nor the investment in wallpaper to have some fabulous banana leaves in your life.  We’ve rounded up some martinique inspired buys on a budget… and, if we don’t say so ourselves, they’re simply brazilliance!
