Last Thursday evening Chicago got its first look at second city based design darling, Azeeza Khan’s, Atelier AZZA Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Devote AZZA clients, fans, and fashionistas alike headed to Prairie Production in the West Loop for a runway show and reception, held in collaboration with Refinery29, debuting the design house’s newest collection.
While the new collection included a sampling of the etherial chiffon dresses juxtaposed by heavy embellishments that AZZA has become so well known for, the designer also departed from her well known flouncy hemlines for much more tailored silhouettes including pencil skirts and structured crop tops.
Other notable additions to AZZA’s latest collection included an expanding accessory line including clutches, cuffs, and the highly coveted harnesses sent down the runway. AZZA enthusiasts were also thrilled to see leather go down the runway in the new collection, as well as a selection of beautiful knits perfect for dressing up or down. But don’t take our word for it… have a look at the collection (and reception) for yourself, and make sure to stop by AZZA’s gorgeous new boutique on the 5th floor inside the 900 N. Michigan Shops. Which looks are your favorites?
