If you’re reading this- I’ve had a baby.  I’m writing this 38 weeks pregnant, and so ready to meet this sweet little boy I can hardly stand it!  All Peter and I can manage to talk about these days is how we can’t wait to snuggle our little guy, stare at him for hours, and bring him home with us.  It seems like yesterday I shared our exciting news here on the blog, and I have been blown away by all the kind words, support and advice I’ve received from readers ever since.  Parts of being pregnant have felt surprisingly isolating as there is no one else who is truly able to experience what you’re feeling, but hearing from so many supportive women through the blog, whether on social media, via email, or even in comments, has been more touching than I ever could have imagined.  My original intention for this blog was never to share anything too personal, but it continues to amaze me how personal experiences, such as pregnancy, connect people from all different locations and walks of life- and in the end, that is far more special than anything I initially thought a blog was capable of achieving.

In the past six months since sharing our baby news I’ve been continuously asked, “what will happen to the blog?”  I’m hoping the answer is, “Not much!”  Hallie and I have been stockpiling some amazing features the past couple months that should run as regularly scheduled programming in the next few weeks.  In the meantime, hopefully you’ll bear with any lulls in communication as I adjust to motherhood, and Peter and I savor every second of our new family and get to know this little guy.

I can almost guarantee there will be more details on baby boy’s arrival here, and plenty of time spent simultaneously nursing and pinning things here.  If you ever feel like commenting or reaching out via twitter, I’m sure it will brighten my day- especially some of the bumpy, sleep deprived ones that surely lie ahead!

Love,  Amelia
