It’s no secret that the winter weather can take a serious toll on your lips, so when IFB (Independent Fashion Bloggers) teamed up with Avon by asking bloggers “What makes you feel Totally Kissable?” to celebrate the launch of Avon’s new Totally Kissable Lipstick- we knew it was time to share our secret (and shockingly simple) formula!
Honey, coconut oil, and brown sugar can all be found at your local supermarket, if not in your pantry, and combine perfectly to exfoliate and soften lips. Coconut oil even has antibacterial properties to really help sooth and heal chapped lips.
Mix equal parts of all three ingredients together in a bowl. Make a small batch for a single use, or a batch to store in a sealed container for future use.
Exfoliate and nourish lips by rubbing the mixture in a circular motion. For best results, take the scrub in the shower. The steam helps soften the skin, and there’s no mess to clean up. Also, have we mentioned that should you happen to lick your lips the scrub is completely safe, edible… and absolutely delicious!
Finish by applying your favorite nourishing lip color. We’re loving Avon’s new Totally Kissable Lipstick in ‘Make Out Red’.

Ooo I will put this to good use this weekend. Great blog ladies, I look forward to your updates!
Thank you! Happy lip scrubbing!
I’ve been mixing brown sugar into my body washes for a while now, to turn it into a quick scrub. But have never tried it with coconut oil and honey. Sounds delish! Will definitely give it a try
We love how the brown sugar exfoliates! We’ll have to mix some into ours too… thanks for the tip!

I’m a huge fan of coconut oil and never thought to use it instead of a lip balm – great post!

This is a great tip! I’ll try this tomorrow! Thank you!
How long can this be stored? Won’t it turn rancid?
A small amount will save up to a week refrigerated, but we favor making it fresh for each use. Thanks for reading! xx
