With Hurricane Sandy behind us, and weeks of cleanup ahead for many states, our friend Greg decided to mix up a classic and seemingly appropriate Bermudian cocktail, the dark and stormy, to toast the safety of our friends and family on the east coast.  While you’re sipping your cocktail this evening please remember to text REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10 to American Red Cross Disaster Relief.

Dark & Stormy Ingredients: 2 oz Gosling’s Black Seal Rum | 3 oz ginger beer, preferably Barritt’s, from Bermuda | Limes wedges (frequently used here in the US, but never in Bermuda)

Pour rum.

Add ginger beer.

Mix and serve over ice.  Garnish with an optional lime wedge.
