One of our favorite things about running the blog is hearing from all of you!  We’re always available at thechicagolifeblog@gmail.com.  We love the constant flood of emails asking about everything from home decor ideas to style and beauty tips and tricks, and always try to respond to each and every one.  Recently, there seems to be a reccuring theme in beauty questions we’ve been receiving… everybody is concerned about under eye circles!  After responding to a few individual emails with the products and treatments that we use, we decided it was time to call in the experts from Morgan Marie Beauty to set the record straight once and for all…

How to find the right concealer color?

The concealer should be a touch warmer than your natural skin tone. The best way to find the best color is to swatch 3 colors (pick the 3 that you think look the best) under your eye…whichever color seems to melt into your skin is the right one! We recommend the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealers….they have lots of color options and offer a buildable coverage.

Where should you apply the concealer?

Apply your concealer only where the dark circles appear.

How should you apply the concealer?

With your MMB concealer brush…it works liquid or cream concealer into your skin to minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines while also helping to conceal dark circles. The Concealer Brush is perfect for hiding any imperfections. and is the perfect tool to build the desired amount of coverage.

How should you treat dark circles?

With an eye cream!  We love the Chanel Ultra Correction Line Repair for Eyes, and the NARS Skin Total Replenishing Eye Cream.  Both will help you to treat your dark circles while also helping to increase hydration and diminish fine lines.

I really love this concealer, this & Edward Bess are my two favorites with the Sephora airbrush concealer brush… the Nars has really great staying power as well.

This concealer was a surprisingly big win for me, though I layer it with a waterproof product for more staying power. It had significantly more coverage than I anticipated, and I use the waterproof product to offset a little of the silicone in it also.
