Everybody has special holiday traditions and recipes, and at my family’s Christmas in Florida that includes my mom’s “Monkey Bread”.

Ingredients:  2 loaves of white bread (uncooked from the freezer section of the grocery store) | 1 stick melted butter | 2 cups of sugar | 2 tablespoons of cinnamon | 1 cup of crushed pecans

Step 1:  Allow bread to thaw, and then roll into one inch balls.  Dip dough into the melted butter and roll around in cinnamon and sugar until coated.

Step 2:  Line bottom of bundt pan with sugar and pecan mixture and then layer dough balls on top.  Cook at 375 degrees for about a half hour, or until golden brown and hard on top.

Step 3:  Remove from oven and flip over onto a large platter.  Let sit with pan on top for a few minutes while the sweet pecan mixture runs down the bread.

Step 4: Garnish with more pecans, and eat by picking apart… like a bunch of monkeys.

What are your favorite holiday traditions and recipes?
