A couple months ago I thought of the perfect resolution.  I’ve mentioned it before, but being pregnant is proving to be a bit more difficult, or rather uncomfortable, than I had previously expected.  Fortunately, I haven’t had to deal with any serious issues or complications, however the list of minor aches and ailments is long, and seems to be growing by the day.  So what’s a girl to do?  Well, mostly Google.  I know it’s a bad idea, and just to be clear I’m not talking about searching for solutions to anything that could be potentially serious, just the little things (aches and pains, swelling, bloating, indigestion, dry skin, etc.).  In all these searches I kept coming to one conclusion- hydration.  It seemed like the answer to everything I was searching for, most of which were not even pregnancy specific, was “drink more water”.

Now let me remind you, this conclusion dawned on me in early November, so I did what any reasonable person would do… thought “perfect, in January I’ll make it my New Year’s Resolution to drink more water”.  Because waiting two months to make a healthy change as a New Year’s Resolution (92% of which fail the first month) is a great idea, right?

Well, then I came across this article and it dawned on me, this whole hydration issue might help with more than just my health.  Could this be the long awaited answer to fixing my dark under-eye circles?  A problem I’ve been searching for a solution to since high school!  Boom, I started the next day.  For roughly the past two months I’ve been drinking a gallon (128 oz.) of water every day, and the difference in how I (think I) look and feel has vastly improved!  Why have I not been drinking more water for years?  Why don’t we all?  It’s not easy, but it’s definitely not hard.  The secret to my watery success?  This baby!  It helps me keep track of ounces, and I prefer drinking from the straw rather than just a regular water bottle.

So, that’s the latest and greatest over here.  Riveting, I know.  Did you make a New Year’s Resolution?  How’s it going?
